Love dogs? We do too! And there’s no better time to celebrate them than on International Dog Day!
International Dog Day came about to encourage adoption, understand the role dogs play in our lives such as protection and comfort, to discourage unethical breeding and to encourage adoption and dog rescue.
We all love our dogs unconditionally and here are ten epic ways we can celebrate them this International Dog Day.
1. Donate to your local dog shelter or rescue. Contact them to find out what they need.
2. Organise a meet up with your dogs pals. Worn out dogs are going to sleep well!
3. Go out of your way to take your dog on a walk you’ve never done before. Whether it be at a new beach, park or bush walk.
4. Seek out a doggie ice cream or meaty bone and watch them enjoy it!
5. Make their daily meal more memorable with some toppers! Our dog doesn’t mind a tin of sardines on the top of his dinner.
6. Make them feel the love with a little grooming (if they like it!). They will feel spoilt and look amazing all day.
7. Get your dog dressed up for a photo shoot. Take some cool pics for the gram and don’t forget to hashtag #internationaldogday
8. Treat them to a cool leash and collar set and wear it out when you’re next out walking to show it off.
9. Teach them a new trick. Your dogs eyes will light up once they’ve learned something new and just love being rewarded for their efforts. Try spin for an easy one!
10. Shower them with love and cuddles. A little extra love goes a long way and makes you both feel good.
